OUR MISSION
PROGRAM HISTORY

Connecticut has a proud and storied history of honoring its local heroes. As a high school student, I realized that we don't often get the chance to learn about and appreciate the stories of these remarkable men and women among us who embody the true spirit of heroism.
In 2020, I launched the South Windsor Veterans Banner Program to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. That year, we had the honor of recognizing over eight WWII veterans from South Windsor. With the steadfast support of our local community, the program has flourished. Now, in addition to South Windsor, we proudly honor veterans from Manchester (as of 2023) and East Hartford & Ellington (as of 2025).
To date, we have honored over 275+ veterans.
We are unwavering in our dedication to ensuring that the sacrifices and contributions of our valiant veterans are never forgotten. The story of our program stands as a testament to our commitment to educating and inspiring our community's youth to recognize the true value of our veterans' service and dedication. We look forward to expanding this program to other towns across Connecticut, continuing to celebrate the bravery and patriotism of our veterans.
